It was a bitter blow to lose after such a magnificent performance, probably the best away performance by Parma since the epic 4-3 victory over Palermo last season. To be leading comfortably against a big side in their stadium its almost too good to be true and in the end it was so as the officials missed valid Parma penalty appeals but was quick to give Inter theirs. Great goals by Cigarini and the genius Gasbarroni and the all round play of the team was fantastic. Hopefully the defeat wont hurt the players too much as they have proved that they have the quality to go on a good run of form and secure La Salvezza at the very least, hopefully starting with a positive result against Catania on Sunday.

Dissapointed but hopeful for the future.

Do u think Dessena fake his injure wt for he do that with only 10 people left on the pitch, we sure need played to hold on. And that was the bad side of Italian serie-a, Big Club get advantage from referee all the time, Parma always suffers that.

That sucks!!!!!!!!!!!
It also reminds me of when Brasil beat the US 4-2, IN EXACTLY THE SAME WAY! We got cheated out of a penalty, AND the Brasilians got a free penalty! Beasly gets dragged down on a breakaway in the 67th min. and no penalty. Then, stupid Ronaldinho dove, got the free kick and scored. We were sooooo cheated and so i feel your pain. THEN, just to add insult to injury, in the 90min, a real foul results in a Brasilian PK, and well, you know the rest.
Final score: 4-2
Accurate Final Score: 3-3 (assuming USMNT win should- have-been-awarded Penalty)

Good point by Johnny on Regi(I can do it myself!)naldo's blowing that counter attack.

I may remember incorrectly, but I think Gasbarroni made a similar mistak later in the game...

It wasn't a foul, but on the replay there is contact. Vieira accidentally steps on Dessena's leg with his studs. The bruise was so heavy he couldn't train yesterday.

In my opinion when you are the last line of defense covering for a fallen goalie you better act like a penguin and get your hands down by your side or it will be a penalty shot. I saw no contact at all when Dessena tried to tackle Viera. He gets taken off the filed on a stretcher than jumps off of it when he gets to the sideline? He doesn't come back on the field for the final minute because Inter already took advantage of his acts and scored. If he would have come back on the field it would have been obvious he was acting and that it cost them the game. He better not have trained yesterday after costing Parma the game. You are not gonna win with 2 men off the field and Inter finally starting to play well in those final minutes. Like I said before...great effort by Parma but I am not buying that injury. There needs to atleast be some contact.

To be fair Johnny, Couto's arm was there because that's how a human being dives, with his arms out. We are not penguins. Second, Dessena was injured, he didn't come on the pitch for the rest of the match and didn't even train yesterday. And then I agree that Reginaldo really screwed up that counter attack. Anyway, like you said it was a great effort by the Gialloblu'. Just a little unlucky.

I do not beleive Parma were robbed at all. What the hell was Couto's hand doing anywhere near that ball. He didn't argue it that much either. Dessena was acting injured, not actaully injured...there is a big difference. Dessena faking an injury to try and kill off some time cost Parma the game. What also cost Parma the game was tat horrible 3 on 1 that Reginaldo blew. That was pretty bad. Inter got hot in the last 15 minutes of the game and Parma did not know what to do. They gave a great effort though for sure.
