Not a bad result, but tomorrow is the real test

Livorno-Parma

Livorno-Parma finished 1-1. The team got an away draw, which is good, but the real test comes tomorrow. More after the jump.

Firstly, sorry guys but there are no highlights of this game anywhere, which is a shame because the two goals were nice.

Well the first goal was another Bucci error. Vidigal shot from outside the box, and it definitely was saveable, but somehow Bucci managed to touch it into the upper corner.

Cuper started the game with a 4-4-2: Bucci; Zenoni, Paci, Rossi (Antonelli 22), Castellini; Reginaldo, Mariga, Morrone, Pisanu (Dessena 71); Gasbarroni; Lucarelli (Corradi 81)

Lucarelli was whistled as soon as he entered the stadium but he tried to ignore it and play on. So Livorno took the lead and we tried to fight back and we did, getting the tying goal from Reginaldo. A cross was sent in, Lucarelli touched it back for Reginaldo, who unleashed a beautiful volley that Amelia could do nothing about.

Our defense did well in neutralizing Tavano and Tristan. Everyone put in a good performance and the surprise was 20 year old defender Luca Antonelli, who came on loan from Milan during the transfer window, and made his debut after Rossi had to go off injured. He put in a very good performance.

On to our next battle, which is tomorrow at the Tardini against Palermo. Palermo is an inconsistent team, but this will still be a tough game since the Sicilians are desperately trying to get into the UEFA Cup zone.

Ghirardi complimented Cuper and said that he brought in a good spirit. Let’s hope it continues.

Unfortunately there will be no Parma news for the next 5 days, because I’m escaping to the warm weather of the Caribbean. But I’ll be back on Tuesday with a big review of what happened to the Gialloblu’.

AVANTI CROCIATI!
