Morfeo to be gone in January?

So there were rumors today that Parma have had enough of Domenico Morfeo’s (or Antonio Cassano the First, Misunderstood Genius, the Wizard of Bergamo [ok I stole that from Thomas Edison's nickname], whatever other nicknames you may have for him) antics anymore. The most recent was during Parma-Juve, where within minutes of walking on the field he gets himself sent off for retaliating against Giorgio Chiellini’s tackle. The rumor said that he would be sent to Serie C1 of all places, to Cremonese to be exact, where he would reunite with his mentor and former Atalanta boss Emiliano Mondonico. Since his contract is up in June, it would be a loan move, and Morfeo would then easily become the best player in Serie C. However within an hour Parma put out a statement, saying that Morfeo isn’t going anywhere. However we’ll have to see if that stays the same come January.

Now, Morfeo is obviously very talented, and is a player that can make a difference. However the reason he’s playing for Parma right now and not playing for Juve, Milan, or Inter and starting for the Italian National Team is he has such a difficult character. Like some talent from Bari we know…

Although he’s been good for the Gialloblu’, it may be time to part ways with Mimmo Morfeo, even if he’s an idol to the Gialloblu’ faithful. I think come June he will be able to go wherever he wants as a free agent because I think The King of Prosciutto has big plans in mind for this club, and Morfeo isn’t a part of them.
